The 49ers overcame 3 turnovers to beat the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football 20-9 to move to 8-4, in a game where Brock Purdy went 23/32 for 193 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, & 3 interceptions, along with 16 rushing yards on 6 carries, but not a great game for Purdy to say the least.

Christian McCaffrey led the way on the ground with 89 rushing yards on 24 carries, and a rushing touchdown, along with 53 receiving yards on 7 catches, while Brian Robinson Jr. had 40 rushing yards on 7 carries, along with 4 receiving yards on 1 catch.

George Kittle led the way with 78 receiving yards on 6 catches, while Jauan Jennings had 41 receiving yards on 5 catches, along with 1 touchdown catch.

Demarcus Robinson had 1 catch for 8 receiving yards, while Ricky Pearsall had 6 receiving yards on 2 catches, and Luke Farrell had 3 receiving yards on 1 catch.

Defensively wise Malik Mustapha led the way with 7 tackles, followed by Upton Stout with 6 tackles, and Ji’Ayir Brown with 5 tackles.

Jordan Elliott, Deommodore Lenoir, & Curtis Robinson each had 3 tackles, while Jason Pinnock, & Nick Martin each had 2 tackles.

Sack wise the 49ers had 1 by Clelin Ferrell.

TFL wise the 49ers had 2, 1 each for Ferrell & Mustapha.

PBU wise the 49ers had 4, 2 for Brown, and 1 each for Stout, & Renardo Green.

The 49ers had 2 INTs both by Brown.

Special teams wise Matt Gay went 2/2 on field goals, with a long of 47-yards, while Thomas Morstead had 1 punt for 40-yards, & Skyy Moore had 3 kick returns for 80-yards.

Overall the 49ers played a good game on defense, but Purdy was very sloppy in the first half, but calmed down in the 2nd half, and thanks to the 2 INTs by Ji’Ayir Brown, the 49ers were able to hold the Panthers to just 9 points, and next up for the 49ers is a trip to Cleveland to face the Browns this coming Sunday at 10am pacific/1pm eastern on CBS, and as always, thank you for reading, you can follow me on X/Twitter @49erscap & on Blue Sky App @49erscap.bsky.social
