49ers sign QB Adrian Martinez to the 53-man roster, elevate WR Malik Turner, & DE Trevis Gipson, sign FS/CB Derrick Canteen to the practice squad, & waive DT Jordan Jefferson ahead of tonight’s week 5 matchup with the Rams

The 49ers made a slew of roster moves ahead of their week 5 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams tonight on Thursday Night Football, as they’ve signed quarterback Adrian Martinez to the 53-man roster, while elevating wide receiver Malik Turner, & defensive end Trevis Gipson for tonight’s game.

The 49ers also signed free safety/cornerback Derrick Canteen to the practice squad, and waived defensive tackle/nose tackle Jordan Jefferson, which was needed to make room for Martinez on the 53-man roster.
