Kyle Shanahan started his press conference by saying that quarterback Brock Purdy is indeed out for this weeks’ matchup with the Saints, along with 2 others as questionable.

Out:

QB Brock Purdy (Shoulder & Toe)

Questionable:

WR Jauan Jennings (Shoulder)

LT Trent Williams (Knee)

With Brock Purdy out this week, Shanahan confirmed that the 49ers will be bringing up practice squad quarterback Adrian Martinez, whether it’s as a regular elevation or being signed to the 53-man roster, but if I had to guess it’s more likely they elevate him rather than add him to the 53 & risk losing a player that the 49ers really like.

If Jauan Jennings isn’t able to play, then the 49ers would go with Ricky Pearsall, Kendrick Bourne, Skyy Moore, Jordan Watkins, & Marquez Valdes-Scantling at wide receiver.

If Trent Williams isn’t able to go then Spencer Burford will start in his place, with Austen Pleasants most likely to be the backup swing tackle.

So the only elevations would likely be Adrian Martinez, and I’m guessing it’s possible the 49ers elevate Curtis Robinson again & have Nick Martin inactive again, but hopefully Martin will make his debut Sunday.
