The 49ers are set to take 0n the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday afternoon at 1:05 pm pacific/4:05 pm eastern, and we have the 49ers injury report for the game.

Questionable:

QB Mac Jones (Knee)

WR Jauan Jennings (Shoulder & Ankle)

WR Ricky Pearsall (Knee)

LG Connor Colby (Groin)

CB Renardo Green (Neck)

Out:

WR Jordan Watkins (Calf)

NT C.J. West (Thumb)

With Mac Jones questionable, & Brock Purdy not on the injury report, that means Purdy will start, and if the 49ers decide that Jones can’t go then practice squad quarterback Adrian Martinez would be elevated or signed to the 53-man roster to be active as thew #2 QB.

With Jennings, & Pearsall both questionable, & Watkins out, that means the 49ers have the following healthy wide receivers right now, Demarcus Robinson, Kendrick Bourne, Skyy Moore, & Marquez Valdes-Scantling, which means if Jennings & Pearsall can’t go then the team will likely elevate either Malik Turner or Russell Gage Jr. for this weeks’ game.

If Colby isn’t able to go then the 49ers will surely elevate or sign Nick Zakelj to the 53-man roster, with either him or rookie UDFA Drew Moss starting at left guard.

With West out, the 49ers will most definitely have 2nd-year defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson active for the first time this week after the 49ers claimed him off waivers from the Jaguars.

Finally, with Green questionable, the 49ers have 4 healthy cornerbacks in Deommodore Lenoir, Upton Stout, Darrell Luter Jr., & Chase Lucas, while Siran Neal is healthy, and can play both cornerback & both safety spots, so the 49ers don’t need to elevate a cornerback, but if they do it’ll be veteran Eli Apple that would be elevated for the game.

The best news to come out of this report is that Brock Purdy will start Sunday, and hopefully he’ll at least have Pearsall also out there, so my best guess is that the 49ers elevate cornerback Eli Apple, as the team would ideally like to have more than 7 healthy defensive backs available, and as for a 2nd, it comes down to Martinez, Gage or Zakelj, depending on which of Jones, Jennings/Pearsall, & Colby can’t go, but hopefully they’re all able to suit up Sunday.
