The 49ers are signing former Packers, Chiefs, Saints, & Seahawks wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, which should be a 1-year deal.
The 49ers beat out the Steelers for Valdes-Scantling, as he was choosing between the 49ers & Steelers, similar to how the 49ers were trying to sign Amari Cooper, but he decided to go back to the Raiders.
It’s not known who will be released or waived yet, as the 49ers will most likely place wide receiver Jacob Cowing on injured reserve, as he has a torn hamstring, and the team also needs to re-sign punter Thomas Morstead, who was released, but as a handshake deal to re-sign him today.
The 49ers are also heavily interested in signed former Patriots, & former 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.
