The 49ers lost yet another game in Minnesota, where they haven’t won since 1992, as they lost today’s week 2 matchup 23-17, in a game that saw the 49ers score just 17 points, a passing touchdown to George Kittle, and a rushing touchdown by Jordan Mason.

Brock Purdy finished the game 28/36 for 319 passing yards, the 1 passing touchdown, an interception, and 2 carries for 12 rushing yards.

Mason finished the game with 100 rushing yards, on 20 carries, and the rushing touchdown, as well as having 1 catch for 4 receiving yards.

Kittle ended the game with 7 catches for 76 receiving yards, and the 1 touchdown catch, while Deebo Samuel Sr. had 8 catches for 110 receiving yards.

Brandon Aiyuk had 4 catches for 43 receiving yards, while Jauan Jennings finished with 37 receiving yards on 2 catches, and Kyle Juszczyk had 3 catches for 19 receiving yards.

On defense, the team just couldn’t stop the Vikings, giving up a huge touchdown to Justin Jefferson, after pinning them down at the 1-yard line.

Nick Bosa had 2 sacks, while Fred Warner had 1 sack, same for Kevin Givens.

Warner led the team with 9 tackles, followed by Bosa with 5, Ji’Ayir Brown with 5, De’Vondre Campbell Sr. with 5, and Deommodore Lenoir with 5 as well.

Maliek Collins had 4 tackles, Isaac Yiadom had 3 tackles, as did Malik Mustapha.

TFL wise, the 49ers had 5, 2 for Bosa, 1 for Warner, 1 for Lenoir, & 1 for Givens.

PBU wise, Warner had 2, George Odum also had 2, and Charvarius Ward had 1.

On special teams, the 49ers allowed a blocked punt, which setup the Vikings to get a field goal, while the 49ers had a near scare when Jacob Cowing muffed a fair catch on a punt, but despite that, Purdy threw the INT, which led to a Jalen Nailor TD.

Jake Moody went 1/1 on field goals, 31-yards, and 2/2 on extra points, while Mitch Wishnowsky had 2 punts for 99-yards, and Samuel had 1 kick return for 21-yards.

Overall, the 49ers just didn’t look like the same team that they looked like just 6 days ago, but they now have to get back to work, reset their mind, and prepare for the Los Angeles Rams, as they face them next Sunday, at 1:25pm pacific/4:25pm eastern, on FOX.
