According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the 49ers have traded running back Jordan Mason, and their 6th-round pick, #187th-overall to the Vikings for a 2025 5th-round pick, #160th-overall, & a 2026 6th-round pick.
Mason had been tendered at the 2nd-round level, so the 49ers save $5.346 million in cash, $4.316 million in cap room, due to the top 51 rule, giving the 49ers $47,901,357 in 2025 salary cap room, but this is before knowing for sure the terms for quarterback Mac Jones, running back Patrick Taylor Jr., wide receiver Demarcus Robinson, tight end Luke Farrell, defensive tackle Kevin Givens, weakside linebacker Luke Gifford, middle linebacker Curtis Robinson, & cornerback Tre Brown’s deals.
OverTheCap.com has some terms, but not structure, they say the following for 3 of the 8 mentioned, but again no actual contract structure, yet anyway.
Patrick Taylor Jr. – 1-year, $1.17 million, with $300,000 fully guaranteed.
Luke Farrell – 3-year, $15.75 million, worth up to $20.25 million
Luke Gifford – 1-year, $1.8 million, with $600,000 fully guaranteed
