Reportedly earlier, and on their website, the NFL has stated that the 2025 NFL Salary Cap would come in somewhere between $277.5 million t0 $281.5 million.

This is great news for the 49ers, as my numbers I’m using have been a base $280 million cap, so even if the cap comes in under $280 million, at say $278 million, the 49ers would still have around $50 million in cap room to work with this offseason, with a good amount, in my opinion, to be set aside for carryover into the 2026 season, as it’s always important to keep an eye out for the salary cap, especially since most, if not all, NFL teams use a 3-year projection to help with their cap.
