The 49ers will indeed be without cornerback Charvarius Ward, as he has been downgraded from questionable to out for tomorrow’s home finale against the Detroit Lions.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that it was a personal matter, and later it was revealed that Ward, and his girlfriend are expecting a baby boy, and that he may have played his last game as a 49er, as he is a unrestricted free agent, and set to count $12.298 million against the 49ers 2025 cap in dead money.
Earlier this year Ward, and his girlfriend lost their 23-month old baby girl Amony Joy, so our hearts go out to Ward, & wish him the best wherever he ends up in 2025.
The #49ers ruled Charvarius Ward OUT for Monday night's game vs. Lions.
Ward told me his family was expecting the arrival of a baby boy, leading to his absence at Saturday practice.
The All-Pro may have played his last game for the club. https://t.co/dtGk1mDAy8
