The 49ers had very slim odds to make the 2024-2025 playoffs coming into today, they needed a lot of help, like having the Los Angeles Rams losing to the New York Jets, which didn’t happen, meaning the 49ers couldn’t win the west.
They also needed the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Washington Commanders, which didn’t happen, and now they can’t get a wild card spot, so they’re now officially eliminated from playoff contention.
