Report: 49ers to suspend WLB De’Vondre Campbell Sr. for final 3 games

After refusing to come into Thursday nights game, the 49ers are set to suspend weakside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell Sr. for their final 3 games of the season, according to The Mercury News, effectively ending his tenure with the 49ers.

Instead of releasing him, this way the 49ers shouldn’t have to pay him his final 3 weeks salary, & they go after a portion of his signing bonus, after Campbell flat out refused to go into the game when Dre Greenlaw came out, quitting on the team that gave him a chance in the offseason after Eric Kendricks backed out of a deal with the 49ers.
