The 49ers lost tonight’s game 12-6 in a game that was a defensive battle, with no touchdowns in the game, at all, with Brock Purdy finishing 14/31 for 142 passing yards, and a crushing interception, that helped pretty much seal the game for the Rams.

Purdy had just 1 rush for 3 rushing yards, while Isaac Guerendo led the way with 57 rushing yards on 16 carries, while Deebo Samuel Sr. had 3 rushing yards on 2 carries.

Receiving wise, George Kittle led the way with 61 receiving yards on 4 catches, followed by Jauan Jennings with 2 catches for 31 receiving yards, and Ricky Pearsall had 1 catch for 16 receiving yards.

Guerendo had 4 catches for 18 receiving yards, and Samuel had 3 catches for 16 receiving yards.

Defensive wise, Fred Warner led the team in tackles with a whopping 15, followed by the returning Dre Greenlaw with 8, same for Talanoa Hufanga.

Ji”Ayir Brown had 6 tackles, Charvarius Ward had 5 tackles, while Nick Bosa, & Deommodore Lenoir each had 4 tackles.

Leonard Floyd, Tashaun Gipson Sr., Jordan Elliott, Renardo Green, & Evan Anderson each had 3 tackles.

The team had no sacks, not being able to get to Matthew Stafford once, while the team had 1 TFL, by Hufanga.

PBU wise, the 49ers had 5, 2 for Lenoir, and 1 each for Ward, Gipson, & Warner.

Special teams wise, well that’s what the whole game was, with Jake Moody only getting 2 field goal attempts, nailing from 53-yards, & 47-yards, while Pat O’Donnell had a whopping 7 punts for 316-yards, while Jacob Cowing had 5 punt returns for 51 punt return yards, and Samuel had 2 kick returns for 72 kick return yards.

This game was a mess, both teams’ offenses couldn’t do anything, not until Greenlaw went out of the game, which really helped the Rams get those 2 extra field goals, but this is crushing defeat, as the 49ers fall to 6-8, next up is a visit to the Miami Dolphins next Sunday, at 1:25pm pacific/4:25pm eastern, in what will be a MUST win game, but the likelihood of the 49ers making the playoffs seem to be slim to none, and with that said, I thank you for reading, and follow me on X/Twitter @49erscap, & on Blue Sky App @49erscap.bsky.social.
