49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan had his day after press conference, after the teams 35-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills last night, and the injury report is not good, as the team will be placing running backs Christian McCaffrey, & Jordan Mason on injured reserve, along with defensive tackle Kevin Givens.
McCaffrey suffered a PCL injury last night, Mason a high ankle sprain, and Givens a torn pectoral muscle, with McCaffrey, & Givens injuries likely being season ending injuries.
In other injury news, left guard Aaron Banks, & defensive tackle Jordan Elliott remain in concussion protocol, while left tackle Trent Williams, and defensive end Nick Bosa will be evaluated throughout the week.
Also weakside linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who had his 21-day practice window opened last week, will practice this week, and the team will also open the 21-day practice window for strong safety Talanoa Hufanga.
Also, star cornerback Deommodore Lenoir is expected to practice this week, and strongside linebacker Demetrius Flanngan-Fowles is considered day-to-day.
Finally, the 49ers are expected to sign running back Patrick Taylor Jr. off their practice squad back to their 53-man roster, and will also look for another running back, as the only truly healthy back on the current 53-man roster is Isaac Guerendo, who will be the teams starter going forward.
