49ers place SLB Tatum Bethune on IR, sign FS Tashaun Gipson Sr. to the 53-man roster, elevate MLB Jalen Graham, & CB Nick McCloud, downgrade C/RG Jon Feliciano to out ahead of their week 12 matchup with the Packers

The 49ers made a series of roster moves today, as they’ve placed rookie strongside linebacker Tatum Bethune on injured reserve with a knee injury, and signed free safety/strong safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. off their practice squad to the 53-man roster.

The 49ers also elevated middle linebacker Jalen Graham, & cornerback Nick McCloud for this weekend’s game against the Packers in Green Bay, where they’ll be without several players, namely starting quarterback Brock Purdy, defensive end Nick Bosa, and possibly left tackle Trent Williams, who is questionable with an ankle injury.

Also the 49ers downgraded center/right guard Jon Feliciano from questionable to out, which I believe means Feliciano is now ineligible to be activated off of injured reserve, unless the 21-day practice window doesn’t close till Monday.

Finally, I’ve learned that the 49ers can’t have quarterback Tanner Mordecai as their emergency 3rd quarterback, as the 3rd QB must be on the 53-man roster.
