The 49ers have waived running back Patrick Taylor Jr., who has played in all 8 games this season, as both a running back, and a kick returner, but with the return of Christian McCaffrey, to be activated off of injured reserve tomorrow, this makes a ton of sense.
I can see the 49ers bringing Taylor back to the practice squad, and releasing current practice squad running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn.
