49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan just finished his press conference today, and announced the following players are either out, or questionable for Sunday’s week 10 game in Tampa Bay, against the Buccaneers.

Out:

WR Chris Conley (Hamstring)

DE Yetur Gross-Matos (Knee)

DT Kevin Givens (Groin)

CB Charvarius Ward (Personal)

Questionable:

RB Christian McCaffrey (Achilles)

WR Deebo Samuel Sr. (Rib & Oblique)

C Jon Feliciano (Knee)

DE Nick Bosa (Hip)

SS Malik Mustapha (Calf)

With Conley out, expect the 49ers have at least 5 wide receivers active Sunday, despite Samuel being questionable, I have no doubt he plays, so the active 5 should be Deebo Samuel Sr., Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall, Jacob Cowing, & Ronnie Bell, while the 49ers will be without Givens, but the 49ers already have 5 other interior defensive lineman healthy on the 53, Maliek Collins, Jordan Elliott, Kalia Davis, Evan Anderson, & newcomer Khalil Davis, and with Ward out, due to the death of his 1-year old daughter, the 49ers don’t need to elevate cornerback Chase Lucas, as they have 5 other healthy cornerbacks on the 53, Deommodore Lenoir, Renardo Green, Isaac Yiadom, Rock Ya-Sin, & Darrell Luter Jr.

Despite McCaffrey being listed as questionable, which is apparently required by the NFL to have him on the injury report while being on injured reserve, he is set to go according to Shanahan, unless something happens between now, & tomorrow at 1pm pacific/4pm eastern time when the 49ers need to make final week 10 roster moves.

I already said that I don’t see Samuel out, so there’s no need to elevate any of their 3 practice squad wide receivers Trent Taylor, Russell Gage, or Terique Owens, while Shanahan said that Feliciano isn’t likely to be activated off of injured reserve tomorrow, so the 49ers will go with their usual 8 offensive lineman on Sunday, Trent Williams(LT), Aaron Banks(LG), Jake Brendel(C), Dominick Puni(RG), Colton McKivitz(RT), Nick Zakelj(C/G), Spencer Burford(G), & Jaylon Moore(T), so no need to elevate the only offensive lineman off the practice squad, center Drake Nugent.

If Bosa can’t go, as we already know Gross-Matos has been ruled out, so he won’t be activated off of injured reserve, the 49ers could elevate defensive end Alex Barrett if need be, as they would only have 3 other healthy defensive ends/edge rushers, Leonard Floyd, Sam Okuyianonu, & Robert Beal Jr. on the 53.

As for Mustapha, while he was limited in practice, if he can’t go the 49ers will need to elevate both safeties on their practice squad that can still be active on Sunday, Adrian Amos, & Tashaun Gipson Sr., who was brought back to the teams practice squad after he was let go by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

So, if I had to guess, the 49ers will most definitely activate one, or both of Amos, & Gipson, while Barrett has a small chance of being activated, but I doubt that happens, as I don’t see Nick Bosa sitting out Sunday’s game.
