The 49ers have made two roster moves today that were announced, as they’ve waived middle linebacker Jalen Graham from the 53-man roster, and released place kicker Anders Carlson from their practice squad.

Graham was waived due in part to the trade for Houston Texans defensive tackle Khalil Davis, while the 49ers released Carlson, likely because place kicker Jake Moody is ready to return this Sunday.

Finally, the 49ers intend to sign free safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. to their practice squad, so the Carlson release makes sense also for this, but I can see the 49ers trying to get Graham through waivers, and back on their practice squad.
