According to Matt Barrows, the 49ers have opened the 21-day practice window for both running back Christian McCaffrey, & center/right guard Jon Feliciano today, meaning they are both back at practice.
The 49ers now have 21-days from today to activate both of them, which would mean the 49ers can only bring back 4 more players from injured reserve, as they’ve already activated wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, & nose tackle Kalia Davis, with Pearsall being on reserve/NFI, and apparently counting towards the teams’ maximum of 8 players allowed back.
This would be a huge boost for the 49ers offense, as they could use both McCaffrey & Feliciano, as Jordan Mason is dealing with a AC joint injury in his shoulder, and Jake Brendel hasn’t been good at all this season.
The 49ers are opening Christian McCaffrey’s practice window today. Apparently, he had no setbacks last week when he pushed himself in rehab harder than he has the last two months. He’s expected to take part in today’s “bonus” practice.
