The 49ers lost today on a late second field goal to the Los Angeles Rams, 27-24, & this one is hard to stomach, as the 49ers were up by 14, & 10 points at one point, and Jake Moody missed a field goal, that led to a Rams TD.

Brock Purdy had a great game, going 21/29, for 258 passing yards, and 3 passing touchdowns, all to Jauan Jennings, Purdy also had 10 carries for 41 rushing yards.

Jordan Mason led the way with 19 carries, and 77 rushing yards, while rookie Isaac Guerendo had 5 carries for 19 rushing yards.

Jennings had a career day, with 11 catches for 175 receiving yards, and the 3 receiving touchdowns.

Brandon Aiyuk had 5 catches for 43 receiving yards, while Eric Saubert had 2 catches for 24 receiving yards, while Mason had 2 catches for 10 receiving yards.

On defense, the team had 3 sacks, 1 each for Maliek Collins, Javon Hargrave, & Sam Okuayinonu.

Charvarius Ward led the way with 9 tackles, followed by Talanoa Hufanga with 7 tackles, then Isaac Yiadom with 6, De’Vondre Campbell with 5, while 4 players had 4 tackles each, Leonard Floyd, Deommodre Lenoir, Ji’Ayir Brown, & Fred Warner.

Hargrave had 3 tackles, while Nick Bosa had just 2 tackles.

TFL wise, the team had 5, 1 each for Collins, Okuayinonu, Hargrave, Bosa, & Lenoir.

PBU wise, the team had 4, 2 for Brown, and 1 each for Ward, & Warner.

On special teams, Jake Moody, as mentioned missed a field goal late in the 4th-quarter, that would have put the 49ers up by 10 again, he went 1/2 on field goals, making the 26-yarder, and 3/3 on extra points, while Mitch Wishnowsky had 2 punts for 90-yards, and finally Jacob Cowing had just 1 punt return for 9-yards.

This game hurts big time, as Ronnie Bell dropped a deep pass from Purdy, which would have helped get the 49ers into field goal range to win the game, next up for the 49ers are the New England Patriots, next Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, at 1:05pm pacific/4:05 eastern, on FOX.
