According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, 49ers starting running back Christian McCaffrey is considered a long shot to play this Sunday, when the 49ers visit the Minnesota Vikings.

McCaffrey was a late scratch/inactive this past Monday night, when the 49ers faced, & beat the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, but with the emergence of Jordan Mason, showing he’s more than capable as a #2 running back, the 49ers should be fine come Sunday.

Hopefully the 49ers can get McCaffrey back as soon as he’s 100%, as he is the 49ers best offensive weapon in my eyes, and they need him for the long haul.
