According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the new deal for 49ers All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams includes an additional $7.6 million in salary for 2024, a total of $27.65 million in cash paid to him this year, which, by doing the math, is comprised of a $25.69 million signing bonus, a $1.21 million fully guaranteed base salary, and a $750,000 per game roster bonus.

He also got 2024 & 2025 fully guaranteed, a total of $48 million, which should be in cash, which comes to a difference of $20.35 million, which should mean that Williams may have gotten some sort of fully guaranteed option bonus in 2025, which of course would prorate over 5-years, while his final season, 2026, would be non-guaranteed.

This also means that the 49ers indeed saved $13.802 million in salary cap room for the 2024 season, putting their 2024 cap room up to $42,985,313.
