With the news that the NFLPA has vetoed the new NFL change that a practice squad quarterback could be the teams’ emergency 3rd QB each week, thus meaning teams will likely carry 3 QBs on their 53, so I thought I’d make one last 53-man roster projection, plus injured lists, & practice squad, but since rosters need to be cut down to 53 players by 1pm pacific/4pm easter time tomorrow, I’ve decided to not do any 2024 or 2025 salary cap outlooks.

As for the practice squad, players with 1 asterisk means that they’re one of the six maximum players allowed with 3 or more accrued years on the practice squad, while 2 asterisk’s means that the player is apart of the International Pathway Program, meaning that he doesn’t count towards the practice squad’s 16-man limit, while also not being able to be elevated, and not counting towards the salary cap.
Finally, if the 49ers are unable to reach new deals with Brandon Aiyuk, & Trent Williams, then I would keep Chris Conley as the 5th WR, & Chris Hubbard as a backup tackle, and with that said, I thank you for reading, and follow me on X/Twitter @49erscap.
