The 49ers made a series of roster moves today, as they’ve made the announcement of the signings of right tackle Chris Hubbard, & defensive tackle Shakel Brown to 1-year deals, and to make room on the 90-man roster, they waived center Corey Luciano, & defensive end Earnest Brown IV.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hubbard signed a 1-year, $1.375 million deal, which likely includes a $1.21 million base salary, but if he were to have signed a veteran minimum benefit deal, he would have gotten $167,500 total in bonus money, which would actually add up to a $1,377,500 deal, but only count $1,152,500 against the cap.
Of course, Hubbard may have signed a straight up 1-year, $1.375 million deal, that would still likely have a $1.21 million base salary, with some or most of it fully guaranteed, plus just $165,000 in bonuses, so we’ll have to wait & see when the final details are revealed in a few days.
