49ers select Wake Forest S Malik Mustapha with the 124th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

The 49ers selected Wake Forest safety Malik Mustapha with the 124th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Mustapha is a 5’11, 207 lb safety from Wake Forest, who primarily played as a box safety, so this could be a potential replacement for current starting strong safety Talanoa Hufanga, who is a UFA after 2024, and coming off an ACL injury it’s uncertain of Hufanga’s future with the 49ers past 2024.
