The 49ers have traded up with the Eagles from the 94th-overall pick to the 86th-overall pick, and selected Kansas offensive tackle/offensive guard Dominick Puni.
The 49ers gave up the 132nd-overall pick to move up.
Puni is a 6’5, 320 lb offensive lineman, who was primarily a left tackle at Kansas, but did play left guard, and also has experience at center, he likely projects as a guard in the NFL, so this could mean that current starting left guard Aaron Banks, who is a UFA after 2024 won’t be retained, or he could be the teams’ right guard a year from now.
