The 49ers yesterday beat the Detroit Lions 34-31, advancing to Super Bowl 58 to face the Kansas City Chiefs, in a game where Brock Purdy was downright awesome, going 20/31 for 267 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception, the touchdown to Brandon Aiyuk.

Purdy also had 48 rushing yards on 5 carries, each of which were ever so important, as they helped keep drives alive.

Aiyuk had a beautiful 51-yard catch that went off the DBs helmet, and Aiyuk caught it, he had 3 catches for 68 yards, along with the 6-yard touchdown reception, while Deebo Samuel led the team with 89 receiving yards on 8 catches.

Christian McCaffrey led the way on the ground with 20 carries for 90 rushing yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns, he also had 4 catches for 42 receiving yards.

Elijah Mitchell was responsible for the 49ers putting the dagger into the Lions heart with a 3-yard rushing touchdown.

George Kittle had 2 catches for 27 yards, and Kyle Juszczyk had 2 catches for 33 yards, including a nice 1st down conversion in a play where Purdy made something out of nothing with a beautiful pass.

On defense, Fred Warner led the team with 13 tackles, while his running mate Dre Greenlaw had 7 tackles.

Ji’Ayir Brown had 10 tackles, and his running mate Tashaun Gipson Sr. had 6 tackles, including a forced fumble, which was recovered by Arik Armstead, which led to a 49ers touchdown.

Armstead had 2 tackles, while Nick Bosa had 3 tackles, Chase Young also had 3 tackles, and Javon Hargrave had 4 tackles.

Bosa had the teams’ lone 2 sacks, two beautiful sacks that helped the defense out greatly.

Charvarius Ward wasn’t targeted much, but he was lockdown, he had 1 tackle, while Deommodore Lenoir  had 5 tackles, and Ambry Thomas had 6 tackles.

TFL wise, Warner had 1, Bosa 2, Young 1, and Javon Kinlaw 1, a total of 5 TFLs, and as for pass defnded, Warner & Gipson each had 1.

Special teams wise, Ray-Ray McCloud III had 1 kick return for 28 yards, while Jake Moody went 2/3 on field goals, he missed his first kick, but was clutch when the 49ers needed those extra 2 field goals, and he also went 4/4 on extra points.

Overall, the 49ers got dominated in the first half, but in the second half, the 49ers took over the game, only allowing 7 points, scoring 27 unanswered points on their way to the NFC Championship, and a berth in Super Bowl 58, where they’ll face the Chiefs, in a rematch of Super Bowl 54.
