49ers to place CB Samuel Womack III on injured reserve

It was announced about 30 minutes ago that the 49ers will be placing cornerback/special teamer Samuel Womack III on injured reserve, where he must miss the next 4 games.

The 49ers have 3 cornerbacks on the practice squad, former Packers 5th-rounder Shemar Jean-Charles, Tre Swilling, & former 49ers UDFA Qwuantrezz Knight, who is a favorite of a lot of 49ers fans, including myself, as he can play some safety, in addition to cornerback.
