We’re continuing the 9-part series where I rank each player, from 1-91, & of course today we’re ranking players 61-70.
Note: The reason I’m doing 91 is because the 49ers are able to carry Alfredo Gutierrez on their roster without him counting against the 90-man limit.
70. RT 76 Jaylon Moore(2024)
2023 Cap Number: $1,020,759
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: I’m just not a big fan of Moore’s, he hasn’t shown much of anything, but he has a shot to be the Swing Tackle, as the 49ers do like him, if not, he should be a practice squader.
69. RT 66 Joey Fisher(2025)
2023 Cap Number: $755,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: My highest rated UDFA, Fisher will have a shot at making the team, but most likely he’s headed to the practice squad.
68. DE 58 Alex Barrett(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $870,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: Barrett will have a chance to make the 53, but he’s likely heading for the practice squad for another season.
67. FS 41 Tayler Hawkins(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $750,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: Hawkins has a shot to potentially unseat someone to make the 53-man roster, but I see him as a practice squader, likely competing with UDFA Avery Young for that spot.
66. WLB 59 Curtis Robinson(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $940,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: Robinson was on the team last year, but as always the numbers game caught up to him, but he has a shot at making the team, but it’ll depend on how the other linebackers play.
65. PK 10 Zane Gonzalez(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $1,465,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: I have Gonzalez as a 50/50 only because he has a small shot if Jake Moody plays poorly, but the likelihood of the 49ers cutting a 3rd rounder is highly unlikely, so Gonzalez should be a candidate for another team via trade, or a practice squad candidate.
64. WR 86 Tay Martin(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $750,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: Martin has a shot at making this team, especially if the team keeps 6 WRs, but my money is on 7th-rounder Ronnie Bell, with Martin being a practice squader.
63. CB 43 Qwuantrezz Knight(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $750,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: Knight was a very hyped UDFA from last year, and I think he has a chance to make the squad if the team keeps 6 cornerbacks, surpassing Ambry Thomas.
62. RG 51 Jason Poe(2023)
2023 Cap Number: $750,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50
Analysis: Poe has a real shot at making this team as a backup IOL, I like him a lot, and think he has a really good chance at making it.
61. LG 63 Nick Zakelj(2025)
2023 Cap Number: $917,590
Chance of making Roster: Lock
Analysis: I love Zakelj, and while he’s not higher on my list, I just think it’s due to him being raw, & not having enough tape on him, but he should be the primary backup IOL.
