With the 49ers restructuring Trent Williams’ contract last week, I thought I’d take a look at what players the 49ers can either extend, or restructure to gain extra cap room.
DE Samson Ebukam – If the 49ers extend Ebukam, they could save as much as $3,408,889 with either to a 4-year deal, or a deal with void years.
CB Emmanuel Moseley – If the 49ers extend Moseley, they could save $2,542,222 with either to a 4-year deal, or a deal with void years.
PK Robbie Gould – If the 49ers extended Gould, they could save $2,311,111 with either a 4-year deal, or a deal with void years.
MLB Fred Warner – If the 49ers were to restructure Warner’s contract, they could save $1,481,422.
The only thing is, these numbers would be depended on the above players being extended or restructured before week 6, or else the numbers will go down, as player earn their weekly checks.
I also want to go over what the 49ers can save in 2023 with restructures.
TE George Kittle – $8.456 million max, $7,927,500 minimum
LT Trent Williams – $14.588 million max, $13,676,250 minimum
DT Arik Armstead – $11.78 million max, $11,043,750 minimum
MLB Fred Warner – $9.476 million max, $8,883,750 minimum
As always, thank you for reading, you can follow me on twitter @49erscap for more salary cap information & tidbits.
