Today, again I’m looking at what kind of contracts current 49ers could get from the team if they were extended, and today I’m tackling two, linebackers Dre Greenlaw, & Azeez Al-Shaair.
For Greenlaw, & Al-Shaair, I have them pegged at the $5 million a year range, which isn’t a bad price tag for the 49ers, but can they keep both? Probably not.
The $5 million a year would put them in line with Jordan Hicks of the Minnesota Vikings, who got $5.95 million in guaranteed money, with $4.45 million being fully guaranteed, and Christian Kirksey of the Houston Texans, who got $4 million guaranteed, all fully guaranteed.
So what can we expect for Greenlaw, and/or Al-Shaair, well, somewhere in the $4.5 million to $6 million range for guarantees, mainly because they’re much younger than Hicks, & Kirksey, who are both 30.
As for per game roster bonuses, & workout bonuses, I’d expect in the $500,000 range for per game roster bonuses, & $100,000 for workout bonuses.
