Today I continue looking at what players could get from the 49ers if they were extended, and we go over Jimmie Ward today.

Ward is currently on IR, but he’s someone that the 49ers sorely miss, and should consider re-signing/extending, so let’s look at what contract I think he can get.

Ward is in the last year of a 3-year deal, worth $9.5 million a year, with $16.5 million in guarantees, $13 million being fully guaranteed, but I don’t see Ward taking less than $9.5 million, in fact I think Ward’s number will come in around $13 million a year, which is in line with Quandre Diggs of the Seahawks, but I don’t see the 49ers giving Ward much more guaranteed money than he got in 2020.

I see Ward getting somewhere in the $20 million to $22 million in guaranteed money, with $15 million to $16 million being fully guaranteed, and expect per game roster bonuses, & workout bonuses, in the $500,000 range for per game roster bonuses, & $100,000 in workout bonuses.

As always, thank you for reading, you can follow me on twitter @49erscap for more salary cap information & tidbits.
