Today I want to go over what type of contract cornerback Emmanuel Moseley can expect to receive if re-signed by the 49ers.

Moseley, a former undrafted free agent, has really played well in his career, he earned a 2-year deal when he was a RFA last year, and with the final year of the deal being 2022, the 49ers would be wise to try and extend Moseley.

I really believe Moseley is looking at somewhere in the $11 million a year to $13.5 million a year range, and the comps I’m looking at are D.J. Reed Jr., who got $11 million a year from the Jets, and our own Charvarius Ward, who got $13.5 million a year.

When we look at these two contracts, Ward got slightly more fully guaranteed money, about $60,000 more at $18.06 million, while Ward led the way with $26.62 million in overall guarantees, while Reed got $21 million.

Guarantee wise, I’d expect Moseley to come somewhere in between these two, as he really is the 49ers #2 cornerback, & deserves to paid as such in my opinion.

Of course, expect per game roster bonuses, & workout bonuses, likely in the $340,000 to $500,000 range for the per game roster bonuses, and $100,000 for the workout bonuses.

As always, thank you for reading, you can follow me on twitter @49erscap for more salary cap information & tidbits.
