We’re continuing the  9-part series where I rank each player, from 1-91, & of course today we’re ranking players 61-70.

Note: The reason I’m doing 91 is because the 49ers are able to carry Alfredo Gutierrez on their roster without him counting against the 90-man limit.

  1. RT 67 Justin Skule(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $939,887
Chance of making Roster: Longshot

Analysis: The 49ers have added too many offensive lineman for Skule to make the team, but the practice squad is still an option.

  1. LS 46 Taybor Pepper(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $1,120,00
Chance of making Roster: Lock

Analysis: The 49ers didn’t bring in anyone to compete with Pepper, that we know of, so he’s a lock to make the team.

  1. P 18 Mitch Wishnowsky(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $1,156,018
Chance of making Roster: Lock

Analysis: The 49ers didn’t bring in anyone at punter, so the job is clearlyt still Wishnowsky’s.

  1. SLB 45 Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $895,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50

Analysis: If Flannigan-Fowles is to make the team, he needs to beat out UDFAs Jeremiah Gemmel, & Segun Olubi, along with Curtis Robinson for a potential 5th LB spot.

  1. RB 23 JaMycal Hasty(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $895,000
Chance of making Roster: 50/50

Analysis: As you can tell, I’m not a big fan of Hasty, which is why I’m happy that the 49ers brought back Jeff Wilson Jr., & drafted a back this year, so I don’t see him on the 53, but he could make it, Kyle Shanahan seems to like him.

  1. QB 14 Brock Purdy(2025)

2022 Cap Number: $724,253
Chance of making Roster:
Longshot

Analysis: Unless there’s an injury, Purdy should begin on the teams’ practice squad, and be developed into the potential #2 QB for 2023, & beyond.

  1. QB 7 Nate Sudfeld(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $2,000,000
Chance of making Roster:
Lock

Analysis: The 49ers gave Sudfeld a fully guaranteed 1-year deal, worth $2 million, so he’s going to be the backup to Trey Lance in 2022.

  1. CB 31 Darqueze Dennard(2022)

2022 Cap Number: $895,000
Chance of making Roster:
50/50

Analysis: Dennard has a chance to make the roster, especially as a nickel back/slot cornerback, but I see him on the practice squad.

  1. WLB 47 Jeremiah Gemmel(2024)

2022 Cap Number: $711,666
Chance of making Roster:
50/50

Analysis: If Gemmel, a UDFA out of North Carolina, is going to make the team, he needs to show it on special teams, beat out Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, Curtis Robinson, & Segun Olubi for a 5th LB spot.

  1. C 62 Jason Poe(2024)

2022 Cap Number: $708,333
Chance of making Roster:
50/50

Analysis: Poe was signed as a UDFA out of Mercer, and he has a chance at being the teams’ backup center, but he’ll battle with the likes of Jake Brendel, Dohnovan West, & maybe Nick Zakelj.
