With the NFL finalizing the draft pool amounts for the 2022 NFL Draft, it’s time to give an update on what the 49ers pool amount it, and for each player.

So, I was able to get my hands on the 49ers numbers, and they will have a minimum rookie pool of $7,446,446, and a maximum pool amount of $7,519,119.

Now the differences are that the minimum is what the 49ers draft picks can get, the maximum of course means that this if the maximum that the 49ers draft picks can cost in 2022.

So, let’s go over each pick, and what to expect from their contracts, once signed.

2nd-Round(#61st)- DE Drake Jackson, USC

4-year deal, worth $5,892,392, with a $1,465,376 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $1,071,344.

Now, Jackson could receive workout bonuses in years 2-4, based on being a 2nd-round pick, which could be as high as $100,000, and as low as $50,000, each year.

3rd-Round(#93rd)- RB Tyrion Davis-Price, LSU

4-year deal, worth $5,108,546, with a $895,304 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $928,826.

3rd-Round(#105th)- WR Danny Gray, SMU

4-year deal, worth around $5,044,904, with a $849,020 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $917,255.

These 2 3rd-round picks are the toughest to project, as the 3rd round is where players have the wiggle room to negotiate on the 4th-years base salary.

Each player drafted in round 1-3 have their contracts using the 25% rule, where their salary can’t be more than 25% of what it was the previous year, and so on, & so on, and all but mainly the 3rd-round comp picks get that.

Now, the 3rd-round comp picks can negotiate that 4th-year, as they get the 25% rule for the first 3-years, and then year 4 is where they are able to negotiate that years base salary.

4th-Round(#134th)- RT Spencer Burford, UTSA

4-year deal, worth $4,332,056, with a $672,056 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $873,014.

5th-Round(#172nd)- CB Samuel Womack, Toledo

4-year deal, worth $3,943,324, with a $283,324 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $775,831.

6th-Round(#187th)- OL Nick Zakelj, Fordham

4-year deal, worth $3,850,360, with a $190,360 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $752,590.

6th-Round(#220th)- NT Kalia Davis, UCF

6th-Round(#221st)- CB Tariq Castro-Fields, Penn State

4-year deals, worth $3,792,012, with $132,012 signing bonuses, and 2022 cap numbers of $738,003.

7th-Round(#262nd)- QB Brock Purdy, Iowa State

4-year deal, worth $3,737,012, with a $77,012 signing bonus, and a 2022 cap number of $724,253.

Now, these, with the exception for Danny Gray, are the maximum numbers that each player can get, as all draftees are now getting the maximum slot value..

For those wondering, I have indeed added each of these contracts to my 2022-2025 cap pages, and the 49ers will need to, by my numbers, create just over $70,000 in cap room to sign all 9 draft picks.
