There had been much speculation if center Alex Mack would be returning or retiring, but it seems he will be back for the 2022 season, as this is what John Lynch said, via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.

“He’s training like he’s coming back,” Lynch said via Nick Wagoner of ESPN. “I won’t speak for him, but all signs are him coming back and being a part of us.”

We at 49erscap are hoping Mack does come back, but also that the 49ers draft a young center to eventually take over for Mack.
