According to PFF’s Doug Kyed, who reported that former Indianapolis Colts strong safety George Odum was signing a 3-year deal, worth up to $10.95 million, has just tweeted out what appears to be his contract details.
He got a $2 million signing bonus, with a $1.035 million 2022 base salary, likely fully guaranteed, along with $1.5 million in incentives each year, & a $750,000 base salary escalator for the 2023 season, the thresholds are unknown at this time.
Update: According to OverTheCap.com, Odum has $100,000 workout. bonuses in 2023 & 2024, and his 2022 base salary is fully guaranteed, while $635,000 of his 2023 base salary becomes fully guaranteed on April 1, 2023, for a total of $3.67 million guaranteed, of which $3.035 million is fully guaranteed.
His cap numbers are below.
2022– $1.435 million ($1.035 million base salary, & $400,000 prorated)
2023 – $1.84 million ($1.34 million base salary, $400,000 prorated, & $100,000 workout bonus)
2024– $1.625 million ($1.125 million base salary, $400,000 prorated, & $100,000 workout bonus)
It appears his max value is indeed $3.65 million a year, while his base value is $1.9 million a year.
#49ers S George Odum's three-year deal has a $5.7M base, but it's worth up to $10.95M with $1.5M incentives ('22-'24) and $750k base escalator ('23). It also comes with void years in 2025 and 2026.
