So, with the recent transactions by the 49ers, I think I’d update my projected 53-man roster, plus injured lists, & the practice squad.
Those moves being taking Jaquiski Tartt off of the COVID-19 list, and put onto active/PUP, plus waived/injured Tim Harris Jr., who went unclaimed, and is now on the 49ers injured reserve list for 2021, unless the team works out an injury settlement.

Ok, so the only difference from version 11.0 is Tavon Wilson on the 53, with Jaquiski Tartt expected to begin 2021 on reserve/PUP.
So, with this roster, the 49ers would have $3,671,826, so the 49ers may need to restructure a contract, most likely Arik Armstead’s, as it saves $4.528 million, while adding only $1.132 million to his 2022-2024 cap numbers.
And one of the reasons the 49ers will need more cap room is due to them potentially have to payback $1,432,352 in per game roster bonuses that don’t count against the cap to 15 players, with them listed below.
QB Jimmy Garoppolo – $517,647
RB Raheem Mostert – $132,353
FB Kyle Juszyzck – $23,529
TE George Kittle – $52,941
TE Ross Dwelley – $11,765
C Alex Mack – $70,588
LG Laken Tomlinson – $23,529
LT Trent Williams – $132,353
DE Arik Armstead – $44,118
DE Samson Ebukam – $29,412
NT D.J. Jones – $44,118
NT Zach Kerr – $20,588
SLB Marcell Harris – $5,882
CB Jason Verrett – $235,294
FS Jimmie Ward – $88,235
Roster wise, I went with the maximum of 6 players with 3 or more accrued years on the practice squad, and 10 with 2 or less accrued years, for a total of $3.168 million, while Alfredo Gutierrez, as part of the international pathway program, won’t count against the salary cap, or the teams practice squad limit, but also he won’t be able to play in any regular season games.
So with all of this said, I thank everyone for reading article, as always you can follow me on Twitter @49erscap, or leave a comment below, and I’ll get back to you.
