Today we finish our 9-part series of looking at each position group, and how much they count against the 49ers 2021 cap, and we end with the Special Teamers.

They have just 3 Special Teamers, that are set to count $4,610,331 against the 2021 cap.

First up is place kicker Robbie Gould, who will count $2,609,313 against the 2021 cap.

Gould’s 2021 & 2022 salaries are guaranteed, so he’ll be the teams kicker for the next 2 seasons, and I expect him to have an excellent season.

Next is punter Mitch Wishnowsky, who is set to count $1,041,018 against the 2021 cap.

This is pretty straight forward, he’s a former 4th-rounder, and the only punter signed, so he will be here in 2021, and likely 2022.

Finally we have the teams long snapper, Taybor Pepper, who is set to count $960,000 against the 2021 cap, and he got a 2-year deal, with a $80,000 signing bonus.

The 49ers obviously liked what they saw from him after they released long time 49ers long snapper Kyle Nelson, so the 49ers hope he can have a long, successful career as a 49er.

The only question marks are who will be the teams kick returner, and punt returner.

Among the guys who will compete are, Elijah Mitchell, Ambry Thomas, Travis Benjamin, & Richie James Jr., but let’s just hope the team doesn’t put either Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel back there.

So with all of this said, I thank everyone for reading article, as always you can follow me on Twitter @49erscap, or leave a comment below, and I’ll get back to you.
