NOTES:

1. As I’ve said before, in order for McKinnon to be placed on injured reserve, and return 8 game later, he must make the initial 53, so a player will be cut, likely Wesley Johnson, or Levine Toilolo, as they’re vested veterans, and not subjected to waivers, so they can re-sign the next day.

2. I went with Jeff Wilson Jr. as he’s been spectacular this preseason, and I don’t see him making it to the practice squad, he could be a trade candidate, but I’d keep Wilson.

3. I went with 7 wide receivers, as I don’t believe the 49ers will place either Taylor or Hurd on injured reserve to be brought back 8 games later, so going with just 4 healthy receivers is too risky, plus Richie James Jr. has earned the kick returner role in my opinion.

4. I went with 8 offensive lineman, but it could be 9 if the team decides to go with just 5 linebackers. Also I’m not 100 percent sure that the 7th and 8th OL are currently on the roster, they will be looking at the waiver wire, and potential veteran cuts.

5. I hate to cut or trade away Jullian Taylor, but seeing as he’s now over 300 pounds, and playing behind both Buckner, and Thomas, he may end up expendable.

6. If the 49ers keep 6 linebackers, I like Al-Shaair over Elijah Lee, but Lee has the versatility advantage, as he can play all 3 linebacker spots.

7. Finally, I went with Jordan Matthews over Kendrick Bourne, as Bourne is too inconsistent, but the same can be said for Matthews, but fact is Matthews has the experience, but by having Matthews on the 53 guarantees his $1 million base salary for 2019.
