Robbie Gould won’t report for mandatory minicamp this week, what should the 49ers do now

With Place Kicker Robbie Gould not expected at mandatory minicamp this week, as according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, as he’s not signed his 1-year, $4.971 million franchise tag, what should the 49ers do now?

They flirted with Stephen Gostkowski, who eventually re-upped with the Patriots, and the only kicker in camp will be Jonathan Brown, who is a journeyman.

So should the 49ers trade Gould, even though he has no leverage, or wait it out.

It’s hard to imagine this ending anytime soon, and it would suck to not see Gould in a 49ers uniform this year, as he’s been the team most consistent player the past 2 years.

So what do you guys think, will Gould sit out the season, and forfeit $4.971 million, or will he cave and eventually sign his 1-year tender, let us know in the comments below.
