According to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, the 49ers have signed former Seattle Seahawks, & former 49ers defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr. to a 1-year deal, worth $1.5 million.
As you can see, he got just a $1.5 million base salary, of which $750,000 is fully guaranteed, and he has up top $750,000 NLTBE incentives for sacks.
Hyder was previously with the 49ers in 2020, where he had 8.5 sacks, his best season, but signed a multi-year deal with the Seahawks, that averaged $3.5 million a year.
In fact, his 2nd best season came in 2o16 when he had 8 sacks, and both 2020 & 2016, he had current 49ers defensive line coach Kris Kocurek as his DL coach.
We at 49erscap would like to welcome Kerry back to the 49ers, and we can’t wait to see you play this fall, again, in the red & gold.
