The 49ers went into Seattle, & overcame special teams miscues from Jake Moody, but come back to beat the Seahawks 17-13 to begin 2025 1-0.

Brock Purdy has an up & down game, throwing for 277 passing yards after going 26/35, with 2 passing touchdowns, & 2 interceptions, but he did lead the 49ers on a game winning drive with a 2-yard touchdown to tight end Jake Tonges of all players.

Purdy also had 5 carries for 17 rushing yards, while Christian McCaffrey had 22 carries for 69 rushing yards, along with 73 receiving yards on 9 catches, with many of them being key plays and/or for 1st downs, while Brian Robinson Jr. had 33 rushing yards on 9 carries..

Ricky Pearsall led the team with 108 receiving yards on 4 catches, including a sweet 45-yard reception, which led to the passing touchdown by Purdy to Tonges.

Kyle Juszcyzk had 2 catches for 32 receiving yards, while George Kittle had 4 catches for 25 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown, but left after a hamstring injury, missing the remainder of the game.

The 49ers also had Jauan Jennings end up not finishing the game, but did have 2 catches for 16 receiving yards.

Tonges had 15 receiving yards on 3 catches, while Luke Farrell & Robinson each had 1 catch for 4 receiving yards.

Defensive wise, Fred Warner led the way with 8 tackles, followed by Nick Bosa, Dee Winters, & Marques Sigle all having 6 tackles.

Bosa had the teams’ lone sack which led to a forced fumble & recovery by Bosa, ending the game.

TFL wise, Warner had 1, while Bosa had 3, & Winters had 2.

PBU wise the 49ers had 2, 1 each for Renardo Green, & Upton Stout.

Special teams wise, they were awful, as Jake Moody went 1/3 on field goals, making a 32-yarder, but missing a 27-yard chip shot field goal, while the 49ers allowed a blocked field goal, punting wise Thomas Morstead had 2 punts for 96-yards, while Skyy Moore had 4 punt returns for 39-yards, 1 kick return for 24-yards, & Isaac Guerendo had 1 kick return for 16-yards.

Next up for the 49ers are the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans next Sunday at 10am pacific/1pm eastern, and the game should be on FOX.
