According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network the 49ers will be signing free safety/strong safety Jaylen Mahoney, the 49ers UDFA signee out of Vanderbilt last April, to a reserve/futures contract.

The contract will most likely be 1-year, $840,000, and will kick in when the new league year begins in March.

Expect the 49ers to announce this signing, and the majority of their practice squad to reserve/futures deals soon.
