The 49ers played one of their worst games of the season tonight, in a 35-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills, in a game where it didn’t stop snowing from opening kickoff to the end of the game.

Brock Purdy ended the game with just 94 passing yards, going 11/18, with no touchdowns, and no interceptions, he also rushed for 4 rushing yards on 2 carries.

Jordan Mason led the way running wise, as he had 78 rushing yards on 13 carries, while Christian McCaffrey, who left the game early on with a knee injury, finished with 53 rushing yards on 7 carries, McCaffrey also had 2 catches for 14 receiving yards.

The lone touchdown came from Isaac Guerendo, as he had 19 rushing yards on 4 carries, and 1 rushing touchdown.

Receiving wise, Jauan Jennings led the team with 56 receiving yards on 3 catches, followed by Deebo Samuel Sr. with 20 receiving yards on 4 catches, and George Kittle had just 1 catch for 7 receiving yards, early on in the game.

The 49ers played very sloppy on offense, as they had 2 fumbles, and lost both of them, one which would/could have put the 49ers back into the game at goal line, when Pudry handed it off to Kyle Juszczyk, but the whole sequence looked awful.

Defensive wise, Ji’Ayir Brown led the way with 8 tackles, followed by Renard Green, & Dee Winters with 6 tackles each.

De’Vondre Campbell Sr., Charvarius Ward, & Malik Mustapha each had 5 tackles.

Fred Warner, Nick McCloud, Yetur Gross-Matos, & Evan Anderson each had 4 tackles, followed by Maliek Collins with 3 tackles.

The 49ers had zero pass rush, with no sacks, they did have 3 TFLs, 1 each by Campbell, Ward, & Gross-Matos.

PBU wise, the team had just 2, 1 each for Green, & Mustapha.

Special teams wise, Jake Moody had another bad game, going just 1/3 on field goal attempts, hitting only a 33-yarder, while Pat O’Donnell had 3 punts for 124 yards, with 1 landing inside the 20 yard line, while Samuel had 6 kick returns for 208 kick return yards, and Jacob Cowing had 2 punt returns for 25 punt return yards.

Honestly this game was bad, despite the snow happening all game long, the 49ers made mistake after mistake after mistake, yet again, something needs to be changed on this team, and I’m not saying at head coach, as I don’t believe Kyle Shanahan is the problem, I just think the team needs someone to help with the play calling, and they need to consider both a new defensive coordinator, & a new special teams coordinator, as both have been downright horrible all year long.

Next up for the 49ers is definitely a must win game next Sunday, when they host the Chicago Bears, which will be from Levi’s Stadium, and will be on FOX at 1:25pm pacific/4:25pm eastern, & with that said, I thank you for reading, and follow me on X/Twitter @49erscap, & on Blue Sky App @49erscap.bsky.social.
