According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, we now have contract details for cornerback Deommodore Lenoir’s new 5-year extension, which is actually worth $88.8 million, with $15.4 million fully guaranteed.
Lenoir got a $13 million signing bonus, along with a 2025 option bonus worth $6.5 million, along with a $1.17 million base salary for 2025, a $750,000 per game roster bonus in 2025, and a $100,000 workout bonuses, of which $2 million of the compensation is fully guaranteed, the remaining $6.25 million becomes fully guaranteed on April 1, 2025.
Lenoir got a $15.72 million 2026 base salary, which is guaranteed for injury, and fully guaranteed on April 1, 2026, along with his 2026 $750,000 per game roster bonus, & $100,000 workout bonus being guaranteed for injury and fully guaranteed on April 1, 2026.
In 2027, he has a non-guaranteed $16.1 million base salary, along with the same per game roster bonus & workout bonuses, same for 2028, with a $16.145 million base salary, again non-guaranteed, and a 2029 base salary worth $16.915 million, again non-guaranteed.
His cap numbers from 2024-2029 are below.
2024: $4,871,217
2025: $5.92 million
2026: $20.47 million
2027: $20.85 million
2028: $20.895 million
2029: $19.065 million
The deal effectively comes to a 5-year, $89.8 million deal when you add up everything, minus his 2024 base salary & prorated bonus from his original signing bonus.
The 49ers now have $52,837,863 in cap room for 2024.
