Shanahan also had updates on both running back Christian McCaffrey, & weakside linebacker Dre Greenlaw, as McCaffrey has had no setbacks, & the 49ers hope to have him back around the bye week, while Greenlaw is still a few weeks away from possibly being ready.
Kyle Shanahan had his press conference today where he not only confirmed Brandon Aiyuk’s torn ACL & MCL, he also revealed that star 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. has been hospitalized with pneumonia, as he has fluids in his lungs, which is the reason why he wasn’t able to play in yesterday’s game.
We at 49erscap wish Deebo a speedy recovery, and can’t wait to see him back out there on the field.
Shanahan also said that he expected place kicker Jake Moody back after the bye week, so it’ll be Anders Carlson who will be the teams’ place kicker until then, also wide receiver Chris Conley is day-to-day with an sprained ankle, and tight end George Kittle is day-to-day with a sprained foot.
