The 49ers have released their injury report for this Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, with 5 players listed as questionable, 1 doubtful, and 2 ruled out, below is the report.

Questionable:

WR Jacob Cowing (Shoulder)

TE George Kittle (Ribs)

NT Kalia Davis (Knee)

MLB Fred Warner (Ankle)

CB Isaac Yiadom (Thigh)

Doubtful:

WR Chris Conley (Oblique)

Out:

DE Yetur Gross-Matos (Knee)

SLB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (Calf)

Now, if Kittle can’t go on Sunday, then the 49ers would likely elevate tight end Brayden Willis, who has already been elevated 1 time this season, while if Cowing isn’t able to go I’d expect the 49ers to elevate either wide receivers Trent Taylor, or Terrace Marshall Jr., with Taylor more likely as he has punt return abilities.

As for if Warner can’t go, then the 49ers would need to elevate stronside linebacker DaShaun White, as they’d only have 4 healthy linebackers, De’Vondre Campbell, Dee Winters, Tatum Bethune, & Jalen Graham, if Yiadom can’t go, then the 49ers would likely just have Darrell Luter Jr. active for this weeks game, and if Davis doesn’t get activated off of injured reserve, then I’d expect defensive tackle/nose tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. or nose tackle Evan Anderson to get elevated, or 1 could be signed to the 53, as the team has 1 spot open on their 53-man roster.

With Conley doubtful, as I said with Cowing, the 49ers would have to elevate a WR, if Cowing can go, then the 49ers likely just go with wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel Sr., Jauan Jennings, Cowing, & Ronnie Bell.

With Gross-Matos out, the 49ers will likely not elevate someone like Jonathan Garvin, or Alex Barrett, as the team has 4 healthy defensive ends/edge rushers on the 53-man roster, Nick Bosa, Leonard Floyd, Sam Okuayinonu, & Robert Beal Jr., and with Flannigan-Fowles ruled out, the 49ers, again, would need to elevate a linebacker if Warner isn’t able to go.

When it comes to elevations for Sunday’s game, I’d say it comes down to combination of the following, wide receiver/punt returner Trent Taylor, tight end Brayden Willis, defensive tackle/nose tackle T.Y. McGill, nose tackle Evan Anderson, & stronside linebacker DaShaun White.

Hopefully all of the players listed as questionable can go, but I think it may be a stretch to have Davis go, if he’s not fully healed from his knee injury, which would leave the combination of elevations down to Taylor if the team wants 6 wide receivers active, & either McGill, or Anderson, since they only have 3 healthy interior defensive lineman on the 53, Maliek Collins, Jordan Elliott, & Kevin Givens.

But we shall see tomorrow, as the team must make their roster moves by 1pm pacific/4pm eastern, and with that said, I thank you for reading, and you can follow me on X/Twitter @49erscap.
