Earlier this week the 49ers agreed to a revised 3-year deal with left tackle Trent Williams, worth $82.66 million, with $48 million fully guaranteed, and thanks to OverTheCap.com, we now have his details.
Williams lowered his base salaries for 2024, 2025 & 2026, down to $1.21 million, $1.255 million, and $22.21 million, while he received a $25.69 million signing bonus in 2024, a $21.245 million signing bonus for lowering his 2025 base salary, and a $10 million option bonus due in 2026.
Williams eliminated his 2024 workout bonus, which he didn’t earn anyway, while his cap numbers went down significantly over the next 2-years, by over $10 million in both 2024 & 2025, but it went up by about $2 million in 2026.
When factoring in both Trent Williams’ new deal, & Deebo Samuel Sr.’s restructured deal, along with Brandon Aiyuk’s 4-year extension, & Maliek Collins’ restructured deal, the 49ers now have over $55.215 million in cap room for 2024, while they’re now only $378,286 over a projected $280 million cap for 2025.
