The 49ers officially extended star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, and thanks to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, we now have his contract details.

Aiyuk received a $23 million signing bonus, along with a $1.125 million fully guaranteed base salary for 2024, he also got a $22.855 million option bonus, due in 2025, and another option bonus due in 2026, worth $24.935 million, which becomes fully guaranteed on April 1, 2025.

He also has a 2025 base salary worth $1.17 million, which is fully guaranteed, he has a 2026 base salary worth $1.215 million, which is guaranteed for injury, and becomes fully guaranteed on April 1, 2025.

He also has yearly $750,000 per game roster bonuses, and yearly $100,000 workout bonuses, with his 2024 per game roster bonus is fully guaranteed, same for his 2024 workout bonus, his 2025 per game roster bonus, and his 2025 workout bonus, while his 2026 per game roster bonus is guaranteed for injury, & 2026 workout bonus become fully guaranteed on April 1, 2025..

He has non-guaranteed base salaries in 2027, & 2028 worth, $27.274 million, & $29.15 million, respectively of course.

In total, Aiyuk’s deal is indeed worth $120 million over 4-year, & when you add in his 2024  year, it’s a 5-year, $134.1 million deal.

Below are his 2024-2028 cap numbers, for now I’m assuming that the 49ers used void years beyond 2028 to minimize Aiyuk’s cap numbers.

2024: $5.725 million ($1.125 million base salary, & $4.6 million signing bonus proration)

2025: $11.191 million ($1.17 million base salary, $4.6 million signing bonus proration, $4.571 million 2025 option bonus proration, $750,000 per game roster bonus, & $100,000 workout bonus)

2026: $16.223 million ($1.215 million base salary, $4.6 million signing bonus proration, $4.571 million 2025 option bonus proration, $4.987 million 2026 option bonus proration $750,000 per game roster bonus, & $100,000 workout bonus)

2027: $42.255 million ($27.247 million base salary, $4.6 million signing bonus proration, $4.571 million 2025 option bonus proration, $4.987 million 2026 option bonus proration $750,000 per game roster bonus, & $100,000 workout bonus)

2028: $44.158 million ($29.15 million base salary, $4.6 million signing bonus proration, $4.571 million 2025 option bonus proration, $4.987 million 2026 option bonus proration $750,000 per game roster bonus, & $100,000 workout bonus)
He’ll likely have a dead money hit of $14.545 million in 2029, and the 49ers saved $8.399 million in salary cap room with Aiyuk’s deal.
