The 49ers had a very good day yesterday, except for the loss of All-Pro, Pro Bowl strong safety Talanoa Hufanga, who tore his ACL in yesterday’s 27-14 win over the Buccaneers on a non-contact play.

The 49ers will now turn to rookie Ji’Ayir Brown to start at strong safety, the 3rd-round pick out of Penn State had his first career INT yesterday, but he has big shoes to fill with Hufanga out.

The news was confirmed by head coach Kyle Shanahan, we wish Hufanga nothing but the best in his rehab, he likely won’t be ready at the beginning of the 2024 season, but we definitely can’t wait to see him at SS & Brown back at FS.
